Online Gallery Through Artsteps
I developed a Senior Thesis culminating in a series of paintings and illustrations in response to my research and time spent diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Within my studies, I tackled themes of climate change, coral bleaching, and marine ecodiversity.
The pandemic meant my thesis could no longer be exhibited in person, however, I pivoted, determined for an audience to see my work, to an online platform which utilizes real time technology. Because my thesis was based on the premise of immersion as a tool for education, this online platform unexpectedly creates opportunities greater than a physical gallery space. The layout, sound components, video displays, and photographs would have been difficult to implement in a real gallery space. The potential of real-time software is immense.
